7-Day Advancing Your Position e-Course!

Welcome to Day 1 of the 'Pathways to Power
7 Day Advancing Your Position e-Course’

Day 1:  High Moral Standard

You are busy. This is a great thing. You are filling your days with a job you love, family, hobbies and anything you desire. Each day is a goal in itself. It is your opportunity to shine brighter than you did yesterday.

I have taken a deck of cards that some people would cringe from and turned them into a field for every dream I wanted to succeed. I took each day and each moment to advance my position closer to what I wanted. It is through my personal experience that I have created the Advancing Your Position Workshop.

In the next 7 days we will explore the many ways to end each and everyday in a better, more favorable position then yesterday. I want you to commit to this workshop. It is your guide to a constant evolution of your success.

*****************************************************************************

Moral? What is it? For some of us, we think of Morals being the difference between right and wrong. In a way, they are. The person and their actions define life; these actions are defined by values. For example, imagine you see a man drop a hundred dollar bill on the floor. Your action depends on whether you are honest and will return the money. If you are honest, then your life is defined by honesty and goodness.

Your Moral Standard is made up of values.

It is the foundation for your actions and in the end, for your success. If you live with low morals, deciding to keep the money becomes your priority, and you become that action. When you are always focused, on winning for yourself and looking for quick answers, you will end up treading in mud.

*****************************************************************************

Moral Code #1: Be a Person of Your Word

When you make promises and then break them, that action defines you as unreliable. As a successful being, you want other’s to rely on your product, intelligence and most importantly, you. If you need to make a commitment, be sure it is realistic and if tentative, communicate the information to the other people involved. You want to build trust, not demolish it.

 Moral Code #2: Be Punctual

>

Whether you are an employer or an employee, understand the value of someone’s time. As we said earlier, you are busy and so is everyone else. When you are late it sends a message that you disvalue the other person.

It also says that you are selfish and inconsiderate of other people’s time.   This detracts from the primary goal.

Moral Code #3: Be Honest

Speak and communicate from honesty. Misleading others, no matter how insignificant the ‘white lie’ may be still carries into your daily actions. If you don’t get caught, YOU still know that you lied. That never leaves you. The dishonesty and negativity linger. It eventually, snowballs. Instead, allow honesty to snowball into a trustworth person, one that people count on.

*****************************************************************************

Warren Buffet once said, “ I want employees to ask themselves whether they are willing to have any contemplated act appear on the front page of their local paper the next day, be read by their spouses, children, and friends….if they follow this test they will not fear my other message to them: lose money for my firm and I will be understanding; lose a shred of reputation for the firm, and I will be ruthless.”

Be sure everything you do or say represents who you want to be. Imagine your parent, child or loved one watching you pick up that one hundred dollar bill and placing it in your pocket. How does that make you feel? What does that say about your life? What kind of legacy are you leaving behind?

Working from impulse, temptation and greed leads to a dead end. Stay honest, just and true, you will find life becomes much more rewarding.

*****************************************************************************

You represent everything you touch. Your family, your business and your ideas are all pieces of you. If you live in a High Moral code, then you allow the positive in. You set a tone for the future, for your success. Don’t settle for a low morale. It is greedy and dishonest. It doesn’t last. Success through High Morale lives forever.
